Allergies
I live a gluten and alcohol free lifestyle and felt it was important that my chocolates did too!
So much so, I ensure that the ingredients I use in my chocolates are free from gluten and alcohol and I also use vegetarian products.
I am very careful with cross contamination and because I am gluten free, I pay a lot of attention to this.
That being said, I make my chocolates in a home kitchen where my children do eat gluten which is why my chocolates carry a “may contain” label.
I have selection boxes that do not contain nuts (Caramels and Temptation) and I am very careful around cross contamination and separate out chocolate that may have come into contact with nuts, during the sealing process. I do however use nuts in my kitchen so again, my collections will have a “may contain” label on them.
I currently do not offer any chocolates that are milk or soya free, but as I become more established, this may be a route that I explore.
My home kitchen may contain any of the 14 allergens that are currently recognised and this is included on the ingredient labels on my boxes.
If anyone does have questions about my processes and cross contamination with allergens, please get in touch using the “contact me” form and I can explain further, to see whether my chocolates would be suitable for you.
Thanks
Sally
