About Grange Chocolates

About Sally – Founder of Grange Chocolates

After more than 30 years in public service, including senior leadership roles in a Yorkshire police force, I’ve embarked on a new and fulfilling chapter as the founder of Grange Chocolates.

I am a mum to 2 children and have spent many evenings and weekends on either a football pitch or the side of a swimming pool watching them flourish whilst juggling home and work commitments.

My policing career took me from the front line to the rank of Superintendent, where I led teams of up to 400 people and delivered regional and national projects, including work with the Home Office. I focused on protecting vulnerable people, building safer communities, and forging strong partnerships with health, local government, and third sector organisations. I was also a passionate advocate for diversity, mentoring colleagues and leading initiatives to support women in policing.

With qualifications including an MBA, Chartered Management Fellowship, and certifications in coaching, training, and strategic management, I bring a wealth of leadership experience to my new passion: chocolate.

In 2023, I returned to my foodie roots. A trained caterer and lifelong chocolate lover, I discovered my passion for making artisan chocolates and was hooked. What began as a hobby quickly grew into Grange Chocolates, specialising in flavour packed, beautiful treats that are made with ingredients that do not contain gluten or spirit alcohol.

If you have any questions about my chocolates or the ingredients I use, please contact me via the email on the contact page.

I’ve trained with master chocolatiers across the UK and Europe to develop my own unique style—where flavour leads, and colour and creativity follow. Every piece is made with care, purpose, and a little bit of magic. I hope you enjoy them as much as I love creating them.
